What is We Own It?
We love public services and we use them every day. Trains, water, energy, care work, council services, the NHS. We believe they make life better for you, me and everyone. They are important for our children, parents and grandparents, our friends, our colleagues and our communities.
But privatisation is damaging our public services. For 30 years we’ve been told that private ownership is better, more efficient, less bureaucratic. But we know that this isn’t true. It’s time to change the narrative around public services. We need to show that public ownership is successful, popular and saves us money. We need to show that privatisation has had its chance, and it has failed.
We’ve got the evidence to prove it - and people are starting to listen. But we need all of you to make our voice as loud as possible, to drown out the private lobbyists, the wealthy shareholders, the right-wing think tanks.
Do you love public services too? Join us.
