On Sunday 3rd November, campaigners will be taking action in London at the March for Clean Water.

Thanks to local anti-sewage groups up and down the country, the pollution in rivers and seas across England and Wales are a top issue with MPs.

But so far, MPs have refused to take action on one of the biggest barriers to tackling sewage spills: water privatisation.

We need your help to make sure the 82% of the public in favour of public ownership are represented at the March and in national news coverage.

Here are two ways you can help, including from your sofa!

1. JOIN We Own It at the march.

Campaigners will be gathering from 11am at the Albert Embankment on Sunday 3rd of November. At 11.45, the march will depart for Westminster.

Each group has recieved an Assigned Form-up Zone (marked by letters on lamposts).  We Own It will gather at the letters G-H, which we will share with Boycott Thames Water, Boycott Water Bills, Marine Conservation Society, and the Women's Institute.

Please email info@weownit.org.uk if you are going to attend and we know how many to expect and can alert you to any changes.

Please help get the message for public ownership out there by downloading our template sign HERE and printing it out: https://weownit.org.uk/resource/march-public-ownership

Alternatively, why not write your own sign calling for public ownership?

Please find more details about the route of the march at: https://marchforcleanwater.org/

2. SHARE a message on social media.

Can’t join the march in person? Please help shape the story another way!

Write a message to Secretary of State Steve Reed calling on him to bring water into public ownership.

Take a selfie or have someone else take a picture of you holding your message. Have a look at the examples below if you're wondering where to start!

Post it on social media tagging We Own It or sending it to us on info@weownit.org.uk and we will post it for you.
