I respect your not voting for the welfare bill because it could become unfair. Can you tell me what you think was unfair. Likewise the return of the rails to public ownship could put off some of our community. Would you plesae take enough time for yourself or your assistant to question this new proposal constructively.
I think it's a very good plan and contains lessons for other privatised utilities notably water, with regard to which the government seems to be proceeding far too slowly.
I feel that any policy which allows the private companies to influence the running of our railway network would fail the quest to take the system back into public ownership. As the companies have taken subsidies from the public purse over their tenure I also don't believe they should be offered any compensation packages.
As with other privatised services rail services provide poor quality to the public and are expensive. Their main prerogative is to make money for shareholders
Please do all you can to bring back our railways to the British people who use the service and not leave it in the hands of other governments, hedge funds and overseas investers to syphon money out of the industry. Thank you.
To fail to renationalise water would be a huge mistake - it is an open goal with huge support - a reduction in bills can be promised and afforded. Don't let private interests bully you into allowing the status quo. If you do then you are indistinguishable from The Tories.
Despite being 80+ I am a frequent traveller by train and totally support the campaign to bring the railways back into full public ownership - track and signalling, engines and drivers, rolling stock, stations, and timetabling.
Our country will always function below par, as it has been for the last 12 years at least, when we have involvement of privatisation. So much has been degraded in our country by the greedy people who are fond of privatisation.. they are not fond of us though and they have little or no care for the rest of us.. or our country.
Government expenditure is a hotter topic by the day as decisions are challenged and Sir Keir Starmer has acknowleged ceratin U-turns. Defence expenditure and its dubious benefits for employment and the economy. As a members of CND please read our Alternative Defence Review with contributions from Alex Gordon formerly RMT
Don't let private shareholders take the profits. We need to run our railways for our population to travel efficiently. At the moment that's not happening. Stop letting shareholders take the profits that could be put back into supporting proper, efficient services on all timetables.

I, like the majority of people in this country, want the railways back in public ownership without any private companies involved.
