Rail fares rise AGAIN: passengers need public ownership

3 March 2024

Today, the price of your train ticket went up another 4.9%. We Own It's Johnbosco Nwogbo was quoted in The Guardian and appeared on Sky News describing how privatisation has seen £billions leak out of our railway system in shareholder dividends that could have been used to bring our bills down by as much as 18%.

It’s time to decommission the gravy train, bring our railways into public ownership, and get our railways back on track. If you agree, join We Own It's mailing list HERE

Even with my rail card, the fares have increased to the point where I am no longer prepared to pay such high fares for such poor services. More isolation for an autistic adult.
