Movianto is a subsidiary of the US private healthcare logistics company Owens and Minor. In January 2020, Owens and Minor announced plans to sell Movianto to a French healthcare logistics company EHDH.

Movianto has two key logistics contracts from the NHS:

  • In July 2018 it won the £55 million contract for running the Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Programme (PIPP), set up to ensure an adequate stockpile of essential supplies in case of an epidemic. 
  • In March 2020 it was subsequently awarded the logistics work of the new PPE supply channel set up in April 2020 to try and rectify the failures of the existing outsourced supply chain contracts.
